Cornish Heritage Farms

Hi all...I'm back. I wanted to spread the word about CHF. They now have stamps by Thomas Kinkade! How cool is that?!!!

Here is the link
http://www.cornishheritagefarms.com/kinkade.php

For those of you local, these stamps are made down the road in Chinook, MT. I have gotten to know Liz a bit and she and her lil family make all these rubber stamps, as well as run a Ranch!

Anyway, wanted to share that so that you can swing over there and check them out. I am excited to get these....the would be so fun to watercolor eh?

I also got my Bella Image swap back....I have 70-some Bella images to create with. Greg has already said See you tomorrow. Hey, it's hot outside and nice and cool in my stamp room! So he may be right on! LOL....

{Family Friday}

Good Morning....it's FRIDAY!!! Yeah!

It's also the end of June...what happened there! Time flies.

I thought since I posted the Birthday boys' pictures yesterday I'd share the rest of them today.

First up, lil Miss was helping sort the laundry. She thought that was great fun and she thought the vibration of the machines was great too.

When we went to Gpa and Gma's, Gma had put the airplane swing up so lil Miss could ride it. She loved it. She has two top teeth of the side and we call them her vampire teeth. You could really see them when she was flying!!
David and RC both started Swim Lessons this week, but RC isn't into it yet. David, however is a fish. I caught one of him doing a cannonball and then just swimming. He loves it.

He actually ended up with a pretty bad sunburn from spending too much time over there. But it's also been great to not hear I'm Bored!

Lastly here is one of lil Miss and Dad. We got this hankies with some new shampoo and had to try them out right?

Busy weekend, tomorrow we will have RC's birthday party and dinner here. I need to get a lasagna and the cake done before then. David has a party to go to Sunday, and it's also our Church Picnic.

I am also happy to report TBall is over. {happy dance} The boys did good but it really gets to be long.

Have a great weekend. See you Monday!!

Hey there...Thought I would share some pix from the Birthday Boys day yesterday! Here he is patiently waiting for dad to get home for breakfast.
Crazy mom had bought this cool lil truck he has to build and I left it in the van. Of course he found it and since I was buying gifts for my birthday stash I passed it off as one for someone else. Well, when he opened it he was saying IS THIS THE ONE FROM THE VAN!! :OP

At out local Hardware Hank they have had this OCC chopper that you put together. Well, RC has wanted it for forever and said we should buy it for his birthday. And he's been worring about it for just as long that someone else would buy it. So I went the first of the month and picked it up. We were worried that he would go down there and see it gone!!
And here is the last one enjoying Root Beer Floats at Gpa and Gma's last night. (I know, my dad mentioned that we were drinking Root Beer out of Pepsi cups! LOL)

I'm back and plan to over load you with cards....

Just teasin' I just have this one more to share
I got some WISH RAKS of the new paper from my friend Anna and I had to use them. The image is from Best of Cluck, also a WISH RAK and I mounted it on the new Wild Wasabi (sp?) then cut a strip of the Soft Sky. I also stamped some chicken wire on the Guana color. Added some brads and some brown riboon and TA-DA!
As I mentioned yesterday was RC's birthday...he turned FIVE!! Ugh! Time sure flies. He was so excited to have the birthday. He opened his gifts at breakfast. Then David has Swim Lessons at 11 and we went to meet some friends at the park for lunch and didn't get home until after 4! It was so nice tho to visit and the kids played so well. Then after dinner we went to my mom and dad's to have Root Beet Floats for him. It was a long, but fun day. Now I need to get back to getting things done around home.
Enjoy the creations!!

Long Cards part 4 - Nother Bella

Here is another Long Note card. I made one other one, but the picture isn't great yet.
I like the fun on this one. Again I used all the same stuff as before. (You can scroll down to see the other three cards. I stamped the sentiment from Papertrey Ink on some paper and punched it out with the Word Window Punch.
Oh that Blue CS is the new stuff that my friend Anna sent me!!! It's the new blue, but guess what, my dog ate the back page of my new preview catalog!! So I can't see the color names. It's called Soft Sky. I love the new colors!!
So that is my Long Note card today. I got my camera to upload. Our PC has USB ports on the front and I was hooking my camera up there, but finally crawled around to the back and plan to leave it hooked up this time! LOL...

{I'm still here}

I'm still working on pictures.....just no time today.

Until then, check this out! I am sooooo excited. I love Heidi Swapp...so this is on my I WISH LIST. That price is unbeatable!! WOW..

http://www.clubheidi.com/default.htm

It's RC's birthday today and we have had a busy fun filled day. I need to get them all down now, so I'll be back tomorrow. (I have too much help here on my desk)

I NEED....

{I have some cards to post, but I am having camera/port troubles...so check back}

When I started this blog last summer, it was b/c I then too, was having troubles with my camera connecting to the PC. I was also having trouble emailing pictures to everyone. So I wanted to start a blog and they could come here to see them.

Well, then I started looking at blogs and found that ladies were posting their card creations on there. WOW! These ladies were so great. It really motivated me to step up my card making process. And I am excited to say that I feel that I have grown as a stamper from this.

I won't say that it's been cheap. LOL... In reality, blogging is Free, so what can beat that huh? But not only have I got inspiration, I've also gotten links to more shopping site and found new stamp companies. One great one, Cornish Heritage Farms is just down the road from me! How cool is that? I've also made some great friends that really GET what I am talking about when I talk Stamp.

The point of this post was to say that I am making myself create better cards. At least in my opinion. And it's also making me think more about them, and the colors and techniques. But I've also made a list of tools that I would like to purchase to help me make my cards better.

I would like a nice Paper Piercing set. I NEED more card stock now. I would like a scalloped punch. I NEED ink refills for some older inks.

Now, those wants are not just giving into what HOT on the blog world. I still see a few cards made with Cuttlebugs that everyone had to have this spring. But they aren't as HOT now. I do think that the Paper Piercing set would be so versatile but I also think that the scalloped punch is just a fad for me! LOL..plus I'd have to have all 20 to be satisfied!

So, I guess my blog is ever changing. I just hope that you enjoy reading it as much as I do typing it!!

Long Cards part 3 - Cosmo Anyone?

Here is the third card made with the Long Notes from the Spring Mini.
These images were also from a WISH RAK. (I'm using them up can you tell?) I love CosmoBella and I think she is next on my list.....among many others.
I used the same things on this card as the other three. I also used some lil brad things from CTMH and the sentiment from curvy verses. You are a wonderful reason to celebrate!
Ok, got my chores done so I am off to play!

Long Cards part 2 - Hangin out

Here is the 2nd card made with the Long Note Cards from the Spring Mini.
Scroll down to see the first. And check back this afternoon for the 3rd one. I won't say final b/c I am loving making these!
This lil monkey was from a RAK I got from Anna. I used the same So Safron Long Note Card, Polka Dots and Paisleys DP and some ribbon from the share I hosted. The scalloped punch was also from a WISH RAK.
I wish I had a sentiment that said Hang On...or something like that. I need more sentiments.
Today starts the first day of swim lessons. Two hours b/c they are in different levels. I seriously need to get my floors cleaned after the weekend too. Lots to do, so I'll see you later on!!

Long Cards part 1

OK so how many of you out there also thought those Long Note Cards in the Spring Mini were awesome? Well, I did when I saw them. Then I got them home and was less than happy about them. Of course I was making them the long way.
Today I thought about how fun they would be the tall way. If you look on the cover of the Spring Mini you will see that is how they are presented. Well, DUH!! I love them this way. I have six left and made three of them today. So come back for more!
For this card, I used the So Saffron Long Note card, the Polka Dots and Paisleys DP and some ribbon from CTMH. I sponged the edges in Always Artichoke and used a WISH RAK image from Bundle of Joy. I think this will make an adoreable baby card!!
See you tomorrow with a couple more....and then maybe more after that!!

wild weekend

I haven't posted in a couple days and have had this card waiting.

Last week I got my kit of the month from the Life Preservers Club. It's all from Paper Salon and I really love the colors. So I'll probably be posting some layouts and more cards using it in the near future.

They were also part of a Spring Fundraiser for Autism and Shellye offered up these this stamp set and another one. I thought it was perfect to use up one of my WISH RAK scalloped punches.

The set was from Queen Cat Designs.

We have been busy the last couple days. I guess Friday was just cleaning up and runnind around.

Yesterday we had some friends come in and we all attended the Gospel Jamboree. We were able to walk back and forth from the high school which made it so nice. The kids all wanted to swim in the afternoon and then we had a big dinner and Ice Cream cake. Our friend, his son and RC all had birthdays this week. Then we went back and I don't think they headed home til after nine. But the day was so much fun.....and so tiring!! We are going to take it easy today. Maybe go back over this afternoon for more music.

{It's Hot!!}

Wow it warmed up here today. My thermo is saying 100 even but it's in the sun. What a doofus to put it there anyway! It's Hot tho. I didn't even let the boys go to the pool today....it's just too hot to be out. So where did I go? To the basement. YES!!

I got RC's birthday invites done and ready to mail. Got a pages scrapped. BUT.....I am going to start submitting some of my layouts. I don't know what the harm would be to post them on my blog but some places are sticklers about it. So...that is my goal....I would like to get published, or on a Design Team or something fun like that.

I just wanted to pop in here before we leave for TBall. We have rain outs, but no heat outs! I wanted to call in sick tho! LOL... for TBall..I'm crazy! Just a good excuse to head to the DQ afterwards!

See you tomorrow...where if it's hot again, I'll be making something I can share with you!

RC's Birthday Invites

With one week til the big day I thought I better get going with RC's birthday invitations. These are super simple but I am excited with how they turned out.
My plan was for the tracks on the background. That is a wheel from SU! that Mary let me borrow. I finally used it!
Then I also wanted to use that truck from MissyBDeisgns. Then as David and I were stamping them I thought about the cake! I told him we are so Brilliant!! So the truck is hauling a slice of cake!! Awesome!!
I am planning to make some better cards like this that the boys can use for their friends.
Then I printed all the info on the back and they are ready to go in the mail!

Biker Man

Greg got his new bike today! I really am not sure who is more excited around here. We were told it would ship out on the 20th so when we came home and the delivery guy was here we were surprised.

We had to put some of it together but so far it seems to work great for him. He went around the block a couple time and said he was going 12 mph! I joked that it would only take him a half hour to get to the farm! LOL..(FYI...it's very hilly out there)

We also had just stopped and ordered the boys new bikes. RC for his birthday and David, just because he's spoiled! So now, I need to get my bike tires fixed and the bike cart fixed up for McKinley. We are going to be so rollin' ROFL!!!

Here is RC and Dad. RC has already been in trouble for messing with the bike. It won't be long and the novelty will be gone

Your not gonna share?

I have this picture on my screen on the computer here. I think it's cute how McKinley is so eyeballing RC's smore. I love the colors and just looking at it now made we appreciate my new camera.
Gnight!

A Little Love

Afternoon all!
I wanted to post somthing creative as I haven't been able to make anything creative today! These lil cards are 3x3 and from the set A Little Love. I joined a swap on SCS that wanted to use up these lil stamp sets. The image says friends on the bottom, but I masked that part off to only have one say it. I am excited about the way they turned out. Now to get them postal!
Stamps: A Little Love
Paper: Night of Navy, Handsome Hunter, Blush Blossom and Whisper White.
Extras: Ribbon, Heidi Swapp Bling, and makers
It's nice and warm out today. The boys went to the pool after lunch. I finally got them to clean their room too. Then we cleaned up the lilac trees behind our house. They make it hard to see around the alley. So I've been busy just not in my stamp room. I need to get to a card for a friend, send some stuff to Bonny for stamp club tonight and get ready for TBall. :oP Tomorrow I promised the boys that I'd take them to the library in the AM, then I hope to hide out in my craft room after lunch. So I'll be back tomorrow with more!

Did ya notice?

I did some scrappin' today? Yeah! I got a large order from Kodak today in the mail. So I spent the afternoon downstairs!

I got a Layout for each kid done. And the more I thought of it, if I could do that at least once a month that would be great. Once a week would be even better. So now that I am back to having a camera, that is my new goal. A LO a week for each kid. Don't be shocked if you see more from me this week tho! I am excited to get back into the swing of it!

I also completed some swaps I joined and a couple other cards with new things, so ya'll come back, ya here?

Dude named David jammin on an iPod

Here is my LO for David's book.
This paper was from Rhonna Farrer's Superstar collection by Autumn Leaves. I got this too as a Secret Sister Swap.
I think it's funny that David knows more about my iPod at 7 than I knew about a walkman at that age! LOL..
This posts title is from Me and My Gang song by Rascal Flatts. I like that part where they say *Dude named Elrod jammin on an iPod* If I sing that David will usually join in!
I also used some Heidi Swapp journaling spots. I love those things!! Cute!

Pretty Miss McKinley

A 2 Pager for McKinley's book.

I used my May kit from the Life Presevers Scrapbook Club. It's Pink Martini Designs and Bazzill Basics. May Arts ribbon and Go West lil Token with saying.

I think this is adoreable!! Of course I journaled in Pink which makes it heard to read. Just that these are 10 months pictures.

Totally RC

I made this LO for RC's book.
I think I posted about going out and finding them in the mud puddle. And then I made him lay down again for a picture! That's a scrapping MOM! LOL
I used some fun PP that I got as a RAK or Secret Sister swap. It's Junkitz DP and then the lil Coaster Chips with words and images. I see the glue wasn't dry enough with I set it up to photograph.
The Main cardstock is none other than Bazzill., and some random chipboard letters that I sanded the edges of. I wrote *It would'nt be fun if we didn't get dirty* on the picture! A first! LOL..

{Want S'mores} &Tornados

Friday night, Grandma came and got the boys and took them home with her. So we made plans
to go out there and roast some marshmallows and make smores. RC love to roast them, but only ate a couple of them. The dog would usually find the ones he left! McKinley loved being out there too, and David was usually running around or worrying about our dog.

Then last night we had some severe weather. Tornado warnings for our county. Not real usual for our area, but I think it could've happened last night. Those clouds were nasty looking.
I spent yesterday cleaning up the garage and yard. Today we BBQed some hamburgers for Father's Day. Nothing more than that.
The pool opened finally yesterday and the boys were over there most of the afternoon and for about 45 minutes today. It's chilly out today.
I am thinking about a nap right now. Then maybe getting crafty.

Hope you enjoyed your weekend!

{Another Cute Card}

I thought I would throw out another card for your weekend viewing pleasure. I never know what I'll get done, let alone posted over the weekend.

While I was Blog Surfing, or blurfing as Allison calls it, I got this idea. I stamped the image on a clear sheet. I think SU calls them Window Sheets. I stamped mine in Black craft and heated it with my heat gun. I think StazOn would be the way to go tho.

While that was drying, I stamped the lil circles from the Delight in Life set on Rose Red CS.
Then I used my Circle Cutter from Creative Memories and cut the middle out of both the base and the Rose Red. I sandwiched the clear sheet between the two and adhered them all together. I added a smaller circle inside the card to add some color and then added some Primas on the front. Those were an after thought so you can see they went all the way through. Some people don't think that's pretty. I think it's OK.

{back to Family Friday}

hello everyone!
I know I posted pictures this week from our trip, but now I am getting back to Family Fridays. I hope that makes it easier for family.

We have had another nice week. Trying to keep caught up on everything. Full Swing of summer. The pool, which is right next door, has yet to open. We're all bummed. It's been so nice too. I think tomorrow or Monday it should open up.

The boys have been going to VBS this week. RC is really into this year and I like that. Usually he's the one who wants to stay home with mom, but he's getting braver. David is almost getting too old for that you know. He's all of 7. Drama!

We had a lil rain this week. Mostly early morning showers. You can see here that McKinley loved it. She always gets in these cars backwards and then when she found the water in the back, she was super happy. She splashed it all out!

She also had the lil neighbor girl come over to watch her last night while we went to TBall. McKinley had never seen her before but she was so excited for another friend to be here. So they tooled around the neighborhood in the stroller.

It was nice to not have to worry about her last night. Greg's been opening up the weight room and now he's the only one on nights so he is missing TBall. And since I coach RC's team, I can't take McKinley too. Then I would have to bring something stronger than water. (just teasin')

Both of the boys are doing good at Tball. David is always practicing at home anyway, so he is pretty good at hitting the ball. Now if he'd pay attention in the feild! LOL...

RC, well he just needs to pay attention! That age tho is so fun to watch. They hit the ball off the T and then turn around to see who's watching them before they run in! It's great.

This year I took my own pictures. I think they are just as good as the ones taken there. So...here they are.

No major plans for our house this weekend. The Colgate Country Showdown is Saturday night and then we plan to BBQ for Father's Day Sunday.

I'll be back later with some more creations.

Otherwise, enjoy the weekend!!

{New SU! Stamps}

Well, yesterday in the mail I got the new Preview catalog for Stamping Up!'s new catalog. WOW!! I am so excited. I know I prolly sound like a loon for being so excited about new stamps, but I am. It's like Christmas when new stuff comes out. And this year they sent out a preview catalog. I also know that demos were able to order some of those things and I've seen them all around on the blogs.

Well, today in the mail I got a bunch of Zoofari images from my new friend Anna. (montana on SCS) She lives down the road a few hundred miles, but we have become new friends. So she sent these to me! What a surprise!!

So of course I had to run downstairs and play today. I made this cute lil card. I love how Fun it is!!

This is the card that Anna made and sent with all the goodies.

I should also say there were some Monkey images (I can't remember where they are from) and all of them will punch with scalloped punches! Yeah Me!!

Thanks Anna! You rock!

{What to do with Leftover ATC's}

The other day I posted HERE the ATC's from the Bella Swap I hosted. I decided to make the leftovers into a Card.

The top one, I simply added some more Buckaroo Blue to the back, some ribbon scraps and stamped Happy Birthday. This one is going in the mail tomorrow to sunny California!

This second card was just as easy. I mounted the ATC on some more Cameo Coral paper, that I had stamped some wedding bells on. Mounted on more black and onto the card.

No destination for this one yet.

Some more baby cards.

Yep, more baby cards. I think I posted that I didn't know many babies coming, then I decided to make a lil list and I do know ALOT!!

Also, we found out my cousin and his wife had a baby a month ago. Didn't know they were expecting. Hm. I have two more cousin's expecting and 2 friends. Wow! Anyone else out there I need to know about? LOL..

So I used some WISH RAK images. I love this lil set - Bundle of Joy. Another that I love, but never bought. I did find out my friend Mary has it tho! Woo Hoo!!

I made this top card to send to my cousin. Then this bottom one is for another cousin. I told her I would make her some announcements to send out. So I was playing around and came up with this. I really like it. Simple yet cute.

And I realize now I didn't crop my pics. Oh!

We are really enjoying the summer time this week. Getting into a routine somewhat. The boys have been going to VBS in the mornings and McKinley has been taking her nap then. What joy! So I have been workin on the chores then. Then walking back to get them and the mail. It's been so nice out and I enjoy the walk, as does Mc. The boys always complain about something! LOL... Boys. Ugh.

It's only half way through TBall and I am once again regretting it all. As much as I really don't mind the whole organization process, I depsise the whole dealing with parents process.

Tonight we are going to walk over to Greg's dad's and then to my Grandpa's. They are working on the house behind my Grandpa's for my aunt to move into. You might say it was his guest house, but it you saw you would'nt. LOL...

Off to manage the maniacs!!

{Bella ATC Swap}

Here are the ATC's (artist trading cards) from the swap I hosted on SCS. There were 2 groups and 6 gals in each. One gal made 2 for the first group tho.

The top is Group 1 and then my cards I did. The bottom two are from Group 2

Enjoy!

Have you seen these?

Oh my goodness.. Over at Stamping Bella they have the cutest lil charms for your cards. I knew this before but never looked at them until now. You can see them here ---->Bellas Fav Products. I think I will need to order some of those...they would be so cute to add to Bellas!!

There is also some new Bellas on the site as well. Maybe when I win the Lotto!!

Weekend Highlights

Well, we had a super weekend. We drove over to Dickinson Friday. The kids were pretty good travelers. McKinley was really good about sleeping in her seat and the boys did off and on as well. I can see that a DVD player would be an advantage.

We went to a lil town and the local bar for John's 40th party. It was orginally to be a surpirse, but he found out. He was still pretty excited about it tho. It was a super late night tho, and then McKinley thought it was time to party when mom got home. Oh! I did get to sleep in Saturday morning.

Then Saturday afternoon we headed to Bismark to watch their son play baseball. We did a lil shopping there, but nothing much. Another late night as the game didn't get over until 11 and it was over an hour drive back! TWO LATE NIGHTS!!

But the time there was so fun, and it was nice to be able to hang with such cool people. We were really needing the weekend away and to just have fun. Thanks John and Beth for the hospitality!! We will see you next month!!

Sunday we started the journey home. We detoured through Sidney to see Kristin and Travis. We got there a lil late for lunch, but they were nice and waited! LOL... Poor Travis! ;) They had some fun toys for the kids and we got to check out there house and town. It was a nice break in the trip really! Mc slept to Sidney and then from their to Glasgow! What a great traveler! Now if I could've kept the boys away from each other, we would've been OK.

We also got loaded down on some fun toys that Jordie sent home for Mc to play with, and some of Conner's old playstation games. I am not sure if Beth with have enough left for her garage sale. Tee Hee Hee. But the boys have kept busy today playing with Mc's new dollhouse.

I also managed to get my house back in order. I had a lil stress from people who don't listen. I didn't get to stamp anything. (Kristin did give me some cool goodies!!) We went out to my mom and dad's to let Hunter run and the kids play. We were going to try a bike ride but we need to fix our bikes up.

Now, we are ready for some bednight snacks and PJ's. See you tomorrow.

Pics: 1 - birthday boys singing kareoke(yes, I sang, no you won't see the pictures!) 2 - Salem Sue, the big cow 3 - Jordie, RC and David on Sue's legs 4 - Jordie and Mc...I think we could've left Mc there and Jordie would take great care of her. 5 - Kristin and Mc 6 - Travis, Greg and the boys playing with bubbles.
