Happy New Year

Ho Ho Ho

Hope your Holidays were Merry. They were at the Skiff house. We were all spoiled greatly, and we all enjoyed the day. It was so nice and calm on Monday. I like that.

This week has of course flown by with not much getting done. It's been crazy. But a good week to just hang out. Woke up yesterday to lots of snow, so the boys were able to get out and use the sleds Santa brought. And the new snow pants and winter coats. There is a nice pile across the street from the last snow and it's nice and slicked up for them. They have loved it!

We are still waiting on the new computer. He said he could bring it over after Christmas, but now I think he must be gone. I wish he would've said that before so we could've gotten it last week. Argh. Oh well...

I am also going to need a new camera. Which is why there are no pictures on here. RC got a little excited the other day and dropped mine on the floor. He and I are butting heads, as he was actually the reason I got my last new camera. ***Count to ten and breath****

I hope you have a nice and safe New Year. We will be hanging out and maybe playing a few games with mom and dad. Enjoy...

Happy Holidays

I hope everyone is ready for the holiday. I think we are. David had his party at school yesterday and they had a great time. He has a pretty cool class I'll say. We had a SILENT NIGHT last night, ate pizza, rented WORLD TRADE CENTER (good movie) and played some PS2 games. Seems that Greg and I always play more than the boys. :P

Today is house cleaning day. :( And the boys are going to mom and dad's to play. We also have to run to Saco and get our prime rib. Yum! Then tomorrow we will head to church and then the Skiff family will be over for supper and gift exchange.

Then Monday sounds like just mom and dad, so we won't do much special. I am looking forward to just relaxing and not having to entertain anyone! :)

Well, I hope and pray that your holidays are bright. I will post pictures after it's all over. And the ones from our TRICK, that I forgot about! :P

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

David's Program

Ok, what kind of scrapping mom forgets her camera? Oh well, I doubt I would've got a nice photo anyway, I don't have that great of Zoom. He did so great tho. He was in the front row and did all the parts so well. It was acute little play too. Bubblegum Bart was out to get rid of Christmas. i guess it's fun when you know the kids and know there personalities and then to see them up there.

Then we came home to a Trick - it's not Halloween anymore. I'll post that tomorrow..... stay tuned.

I need a creative day today. Gotta get some more projects done and play. Yes, I have lots of cleaning to do but I know I will end up doing again on Satruday, so I might as well wait. The boys are going to mom and dad's Saturday so I can spend the day getting ready for the Christmas's here. Working on laundry now. Then going downstairs. I am subbing for an hour this afternoon as PE. Hmm....

Wow, we have been busy getting ready for the Holidays. Working on gifts(which I won't post pictures of til later!!) and decorating. It's been fun. I feel that I am ready for it all! Well, maybe. LOL..

It's warmed up some and the boys have enjoyed the big snow pile across the street. It's pretty slicked up so no need for a sled! David has been busy praticing for his school program which is Monday. LAst Sunday was the church program. They both did well, but aren't loud singers yet.

McKinley is growing so fast. She is almost 17 lbs. and almost 25 inches. A beast!! And don't count on her spending too much time after she rolls over. She is always wanting to sit up and check out the world! She's busy!

This Friday we are going to Havre to the Clausen's Christmas party. Joanna is going to keep the kids that night so we can spend some more time with them on Saturday. I am excited!

Well, I still have some projects to get done before the end of the week. And Holiday Pampered Chef orders to get delivered. And gifts to mail. So it'll be busy. Check back next week to see David's program photos.

More funny photos....

Here are the horns from the deer Greg got last Wednesday. He said it was a nice big corn fed guy. Should make for some nice jerky. Need to get that cut up now.

And Aunt Mary and McKinley last night at supper. Watch out boys for those two!!

And Aunt Lindsey, I finally got David to let me spike up his hair. Cute huh.... He was pretty irritated at mom!! :P

Here is what it looks like here. And it's cold. It's about -9* F and then add the windchill from a 15mph wind. I had to walk David to school b/c he didn't want to go out in the wind. I'll have to pick him up too. RC and his snow angel was from Friday....we've gotten about 8 more inches since then. Hope you are all warm!!

Thanksgiving

We had a nice day. Pretty relaxed but here are some sights. I guess I was just enjoying it too much b/c I didn't get too many pics.

Hi all...

Just a few updates for us. Turkey Day is coming. We are having it here. Planned for a lot, but sounds more like a few now. That's even better.

Greg had a Dr. appt. in GF on Thursday. We zoomed down and back that day so it was fast. Things are still good for him. I think plans will be that we go Craig Co. sometime after the first of the year and get even more independent. Then he will probably be done as far as what they can do medically for now. IT will just become a waiting game, praying for the miracle. I think after he gets back from Co, he will look for a job, so please pray for that too. It is so nice for us to be here together, but I know Greg is ready to do something constructive. ;)

As I type Greg and the boys are off hunting with a friend.

McKinley is sacked out in the chair. We are trying to get rid of some colds. Ugh. So taking it easy today so we can prepare for the Holiday this week.

Yesterday we went to Dave & Terri's to listen to the Mustangs. They won the state championship. So exciting. Greg said he heard the fire sirens about 12:30 last night when they got back to town from Missoula. (I was knocked out from the Nyquil I took!!) The Griz also beat the Cats too... Bet that was a pretty wild town there for awhile yesterday afternoon!!

We also have a new little friend that has found us. The boys have named him Denver, but we will see if he stays around. A new cat would be OK I think. If he stays we will be working on the litter box for sure. I am not into more cleaning up!! LOL...

Have a great week and a safe Holiday!

Costumes

Here are the kids' costumes for this year. RC is Mater from Cars. David is the Flash, although for the parade he was Spiderman. Today was RC's trick or treat at school. THey went up to the Retirement Center. Tomorrow is David's party at school. One night they brought out the Jessie wig for McKinley.

More fun things

This lunchpail is for an online auction to benefit a freind. The little divders with seperate the cards.

The cards are some new technique we tried at stamp club.

What I've been up

Well, my camera is finally working for me. If anyone wants to buy me a new docking system for the one upcoming gift buying holiday, that would be awesome!! LOL....

Anyway, this is what I have been up to around here. THese paint cans are addicting. I love decorating them. There are so many possiblities. The cowboy one I made for my cousins baby. The white one is for a freinds wedding. I made a cute album and a notebook to go inside too. The Coke one I jusy made. I might try to sell the two of them and the Christmas can too. The smaller ones were with empty formula cans. I have a lot of them around. I have made a couple others but I guess I haven't taken a pic. yet.

My Scraproom

This one is some garment hooks and I just put all my goodies on some rings and hung them. So I can flip through it and see what I have....which isn't much really...(snicker, snicker)
This is supposed to be a bench, but so far I haven't been able to clean it off long enough to put fabric on there!

Here it is....my new oasis. I love the colors and that it is , well, done. I love that I can go down there anytime and get to work. As long as I keep things clean. BUt it's my therapy...even if I am just rearranging my things!! lol
Here are some great Smilers of McKinley. She is sooooo cute and loves to smile at us. She is pretty ticklish too. It's fun to see her personallity.

Ramblings

David is going to Mission Canyon tomorrow for school. I had offered to go but I guess they didn't need anyone to go along. The 6th graders are going with them too. Greg said maybe we should drive up there sometime. It's been so long since I went there, and I thought it would be fun to go again.
We are hoping to head to Matt and Lindseys over the long weekend in October. They just bought a new place in Rapid City. I am going to call to see if the guest room is ready yet. lol They should be moving in this weekend. It would be nice to get over there for once. Maybe leave early Thursday and then have Friday and Saturday to sightsee. I know the boys would want to see Mount Rushmore. Lindsey also mentioned a few fun places too. We'll have to see how it goes traveling with a baby.

Greg is driving more. He has mastered getting in the car alone. I think we just need to really work on getting the chair in. I know it will be crazy and hard, but something to work on. He is having his first poker game here Friday night. Breaking in the basement. We were so excited about the movement at his knees. I know he was getting some movement and then tonight he says look at this, and his foot was moving this time, then he says No that was my hand. I seriously almost hit him. Not funny to joke about!!! But the movement he has is AWESOME!!

McKinley has had a stuffy nose the last couple days. Yesterday was really bad...she ended up throwing up last night from the flem. I have been putting Vicks on her chest each night. She was awake more today so I think she is feeling better. She sounds better too.
RC decided he didn't want school today. He kept saying Goodbye and then started to cry when I was finally leaving. I don't know what is going on, but I think he's having a hard time with something. Well, David being gone has been hard. Greg and I try to keep him busy through the day, but he still gets whiny more now than before. And he loves school and his good buddies are there. So we told him he had to go back next week, and we will see. I try to keep talking about these things so they know what is going to happen.
DAvid had his first Spelling test last Friday and got a 100 %.....so excititing. He is reading so well too. He's taken a few Reading tests and got 100's on them as well. He's always wanting to get his Homework done right away after school and that's great. Seems like the nights go by so fast. BUt he also hasn't been as excited for Sparkies at church. I don't know if he's tired or what.

Just been different. I am finally settling in to staying home. I enjoy it. And am getting my mind set that spending some fun time in my room isn't a bad thing. So tomorrow I plan to play. I have a few ideas for Holiday gifts, so I would like to start working on them

Some good news

Well, we don't know what it means but Greg has some fluxtion in his legs. He was trying to squeeze his legs together and we saw them move. It was so cool to see that. It really gives us hope. I think it will help his mindset too. I don't think he's depressed but he gets down. It's frustrating some days, but we both have to keep thinking off all the good things we have.

I am enjoying being home with them. I think for my health I needed to make that move. I have been working harder tho!! LOL... I managed to get the basement in order and most of the boxes gone through. The guest room is set up!!! My craft room is too, missing the table is all. The family room looks like a family room. I doubt the toys will ever be in order again. BUt the boys love to play down there. And it helps keep the upstairs in order more. I just need to get in and clean sweep their bedroom. I can't wait for my massive garage sale next spring.

I went to Bunco last night. The girl lives out in Green Acres near our old house. It was weird to go out there. A lot has changed out there...our old house is totally different. The house I was in I hadn't been in since I was little!! It changes quite a bit too. Seems weird after living so much of my life out there. Anyway, I had tied for the most Buncos and lost the roll off, then tied for the most wins, lost the rolloff again!! Argh...anyway, they put everyone's name who didn't win and I WON!!!! About time. It was fun tho. We are supposed to play a game and we mostly eat and visit, so it's nice to get out.

It's feeling more like Fall here. I am going to buy a new cinnamon candle today so the house will remind me of it. It's been rainy too....we need that. But just makes me like to settle in.

McKinley's Room

Here is Miss McKinley and her room. She has more clothes than any one child would ever need. But they are so cute and *pink* She also has gotten a lot of dolls and RC is sharing his Care Bear collection with her.

She is getting to be more smiley now too.... She still love the swing, but she lets you know when it's time to cuddle. The boys are waiting for her to get to where she can DO something...they think she is rather boring right now. But she will be mobile sooner than we want really.

Baby Shower

Today the ladies at church had a shower for McKinley and I. She got 14 more outfits. We have so much, but honestly I am having a blast with them!! I need to get them sorted witht the rest so we can make sure that we get them all worn!! Fortunatly they are all a bit older so I can make them last. There were a few other fun things too...a cute little bathrobe and the slippers, some books, a cute cowgirl plate and cup that came in the cutest hat box. A bunch of diapers too.

It was a nice day.
