Well, I have half way done with tonight's Challenges. I tell you this really gets your stamping MoJo going. Maybe if I have enough steam after these turkeys are all in bed I'll play the other 3.




The second challenge was to create a card based on Chocolate and Shoes. Yum huh? Well, the pic that Jamie posted was cool, and made me think of my Bling Bazzill. I also thought about this cool Witches shoe that Sheila had given me a template for a year or more ago. It would've been so cool, but alas, couldn't find it.

So then this came about...my SavvyShoppabella.

Then the third Challenge was a Lil Black Dress challenge, to stamp your main image on Black paper. For this, I knew that I would Emboss White on there, and these hearts were laying there. Unfortunately Mc was helping me and some of the EP didn't work out. But I wanted to just get done and upload it. I am really excited about it tho...it looks cute.

Here is my first card for the VSN. It was a Circle Card. I hadn't cleaned off my table so these were the colors/stamps I grabbed.

{SU! Stamping Club}

Tonight is our Stampin' UP! Club night. My demo brought over our new catalog last night so I was able to drool over it all! There are some super fun new sets in there. My favorite being Seriously Sassy. I love the saying SWEET!! I know those would rock on some Bella cards right?

So these are the cards I made for our swap. I had seen this on one of the SCS Weekly Inkings. It's called the Split Negative technique - HERE is a link for directions.

It was time consuming, but they turned out pretty well. The worst part was matching them up and a Stamp a ma Jig would be very helpful here.

I could not get into the stamping mood yesterday. I had forgot about a few challenges I wanted to do tho, so hopefully that will help today.

I wanted to get started on some Valentine's Day cards. I am planning an Open House for TAC and my cards so I want to have a good selection done up. So really I need to get to work huh?

I have a ton of these Loads of Love images from the Wish RAK on SCS and I figured that they would work really well to give to a man right? Also, I don't have a round scallop punch...only oval ones, but I used it and cut it almost in half to make the circle. You can't really see that in the picture...that's good.

The Love Doctor is in. LOL.... This last Friday was the Bella Babe challenge for the month and it was a color challenge to use Red, White and Black/Grey. I think this is the only piece of black I have left and no Grey. Anyway, I wanted to use Docabella but wanted her coat White. So I tried to chalk the background a little. Something I need to practice I guess. So then I added the shadow highlights to the inside of the coat. I think now that I should have cut her out and popped her up huh? Oh well... no mistakes in stamping... I also hand wrote the sentiment...thought it was funny too.

Esp. Monday Mornings. And no one else wanted to this morning either! Both boys didn't get up til close to 7:30.

So I thought this card was fitting today. It's way too simple with just the DP in strips for the background. The DP is Scenic Route and the background is Kraft SU! Miss Grump is from the Image Swap I did. I love her. I think she could be so fun to play with more. And I really do need to spend alittle more time on my cards. This is way to simple.

I think I need to browse around SCS today and get some ideas. It was VSN this weekend, so I think I can find a few.

Challenges...

Wow, this week I was actually able to complete all four challenges so far on SCS!

I did the Technique Challenge and posted it here.

Then I was going to try to make that same fold on the color challenge and I fudged a lil. So this is the card for that.



And the snow one is for the Sketch Challenge, but the picture is nasty.



The first card was Groovy Guava and Soft Sky. Good thing I got more paper last week so I could use the new In Color papers on it.

The Snow Card has no stamping...just some DP and CS and a chipboard sticker..the words are a clear sticker too. I made it in a hurry last night so it's not my best work! LOL...

Then I realized that the Ways to Use it challenge was to make a Halloween card...well I have just made a bunch of them!! Woo hoo for me. For this one, I cut the top part of the front of the card and decorated the inside. I just punched the bat out and the other square colors. This set if from CTMH.

I am really hoping that with both boys in school I can complete more of these. Today tho, RC is home and I've been trying to get things taken care of before the weekend....so I can play all day tomorrow!! LOL..or read blogs...I have 96 entries to read on my Google Reader! Yikes..you all need to slow down ladies!!

Having family for dinner so I need to get going.

A Little Love

Afternoon all!

I wanted to post somthing creative as I haven't been able to make anything creative today! These lil cards are 3x3 and from the set A Little Love. I joined a swap on SCS that wanted to use up these lil stamp sets. The image says friends on the bottom, but I masked that part off to only have one say it. I am excited about the way they turned out. Now to get them postal!

It's nice and warm out today. The boys went to the pool after lunch. I finally got them to clean their room too. Then we cleaned up the lilac trees behind our house. They make it hard to see around the alley. So I've been busy just not in my stamp room. I need to get to a card for a friend, send some stuff to Bonny for stamp club tonight and get ready for TBall. :oP Tomorrow I promised the boys that I'd take them to the library in the AM, then I hope to hide out in my craft room after lunch. So I'll be back tomorrow with more!

{New SU! Stamps}

Well, yesterday in the mail I got the new Preview catalog for Stamping Up!'s new catalog. WOW!! I am so excited. I know I prolly sound like a loon for being so excited about new stamps, but I am. It's like Christmas when new stuff comes out. And this year they sent out a preview catalog. I also know that demos were able to order some of those things and I've seen them all around on the blogs.

Well, today in the mail I got a bunch of Zoofari images from my new friend Anna. (montana on SCS) She lives down the road a few hundred miles, but we have become new friends. So she sent these to me! What a surprise!!

So of course I had to run downstairs and play today. I made this cute lil card. I love how Fun it is!!

This is the card that Anna made and sent with all the goodies.

I should also say there were some Monkey images (I can't remember where they are from) and all of them will punch with scalloped punches! Yeah Me!!

{Bella ATC Swap}

Here are the ATC's (artist trading cards) from the swap I hosted on SCS. There were 2 groups and 6 gals in each. One gal made 2 for the first group tho.

Leaving....on a jet plane....

OK, so in a Minivan, but we are so outta here!

We are leaving tomorrow morning to head over to North Dakota to a friend's birthday party. We are taking the entire weekend and I am really looking forward to it. We are also going to stop on the way back and see Kristin and Travis, since we haven't been that way yet.

So don't plan on hearing from me until sometime Monday! Woo Hoo!!

These ATC's are ones I made for a Swap I am hosting on SCS. I also have 2 Bellas ATC's to make....sometime soon!! LOL... Then next week I'll post all of the ones that were sent in.

I think that I forgot to mention that I was going to take all those Bella cards to the Women's Resource Center here in town. Wouldn't they be fun to send out?

A lil funny....at the Races Sunday, the Shiners were racing their lawnmowers and then they did a little parade around the track. Well I told David that one of them was his friends Dad. He said, Oh I know... the guys in the Monkey hats. Oh Greg and I were rolling on the floor. He thought they looked like the hats that lil monkeys wear!! It was funny!

{More SWEET Treats}

WORDS BY WILSON is one of my favorite sets. Unfortunately it's retiring this year! Dadgum!!

I truly love the funny sayings like these. I like to laugh, if you can't tell. I do hope that SU! brings out some more funny sets like this.

If not, I did find this great company - Hambo Stamps. They have Fractured Funnies! I need to get me a few of those stamps...then the party will begin!

I made these for a friend. I am hoping to share more tomorrow and deliver them then as well.

I think I make my best cards with the scraps I have on the end of my table!! I had actually stamped these images a long time ago and had them in the case that the stamps were in. So anyway, I colored them with my Watercolor Pencils and Blender Pens.

MY NEW CAMERA!! Yeah me!! I was so excited when Mr. Brown came EARLY!! Woo Hoo!! I was ripping the box open and getting this out. RC and Greg came home and I was snapping them! LOL...See I told you I was a fruitcake!

So I thought I should post some fun things for you today...not pictures of my family coming in the door. LOL..

This first set is all the cards I created for VSN. I know I scanned them this weekend, but I wanted to take a picture and they were sitting here!

This next one is all the great mail I've been getting. I signed up for the WISH RAK on SCS and I love it. I am also loving sending some too...it's nice to be needed huh?

Well, yesterday I got all those groovy scalloped punches, and Loads of Love pickup.

Today I got the Cowboy Kid and the Best of Cluck! **I just had a wonderful idea...my cousin is getting married this weekend...to a Kluck. Could I do something with that! Oh yeah!

Anyway, that is my post for now...

Since I have the camera, I plan to get back to Family Fridays and pictures of what my family has been up to during the week. That will only be posted on Fridays. The rest of the week is fair game. Although you should know, this is the last week of school, so I will probably be enjoying summer vacation and not making this my top priority. I am however making Stamping or Scrapping something a priority this summer. I vow to make at least one card, or do one layout a day. That's a lot. But I NEED that time!!

Don't leave me tho....I'll still be sharing it all with you! OK, off to work on laundry!!

Virtual Stamp Night - Saturday Challenges

Here are the last two cards I got done for VSN.

This first one was to create a flower but not use any flower stamps, or anything that had a flower on it. So I went with Ribbon. Fun huh? I am sure if I spent more time on it, I might create something better, but this is it.





This next one was to create a card that was clearly a Thank You card, but you couldn't use the words Thanks or Thank You. So I pulled out Words by Wilson and used the Tank...there is a saying that says Many Tanks...but I skipped it. Then used some Simon Chipboard and covered the U. I was so happy with myself.

That is all I did for VSN, and I won't be able to get any more on before the deadline, but I am excited to be able to use the rest of the Challenges this week.

Virtual Stamp Night - Saturday Challenges

Here are a couple more challenges I did today.

The first one was a Baby Wipe Technique. You can find that here. It was simple.....and IRL it looks better. This scanning thing stinks!



Then the next challenge I did was to make the sentiment the focal point. I pulled this stamp out from a long time ago....one of the first ones mom and I got. Again, the scan stinks, but I like the card.

I didn't want to do some of the other challenges, and now I am going to take a break for awhile. I'll post some more tomorrow.

Virtual Stamp Night - Friday Challenges

Well, I didn't get back downstairs last night. I ended up watching the Breakfast Club...only to see it was on again this morning!

So this morning I went down and worked on the last two challenges. The first one was to use Summer Sun and Chocolate Chip. It was called Run for the Blacked Eye Susan, having to do with Horse Racing. Hence the horse. I also used some sticky canvas paper from CTMH. Otherwise pretty plain.













Then the next one called for us to use adhesive to emboss on. Well, all I had was a glue stick, so I glued the entire PP and embossed it. Not real great, but I like the card. It's a 3x3, so that was my warm up card today!


The two that were posted this morning were not really something I want to try. So I am making lunch and then going to try the rest this afternoon.

Virtual Stamp Night - Friday Challenges

Probably my last one tonight unless I go down after everyone is asleep here.

The last challenge was to create a Landscape...either a birds eye view of straight on. So this is what I came up with in the 45 minutes I had.

I just peiced papers together, I used Chatterbox Walls for the walls and roof...wasn't that clever? The only other WOWs were the ribbon I cut for the shades, the leaves were flower punched. Everything else was drawn or pieced on there.

Virtual Stamp Night - Friday Challenges

Here are the first three Challenges I did. I'll post the rest later on and again tomorrow!!



This first one here was for the kid challenge and the boys aren't ready to play yet. I'm saving this for later when they decide they want to.

Anyway the challenge was Buggy Helpers, to use Bugs and Bright Colors. Well, guess what I got today...my PaperteyINK stamps!! Yeah! So Little Lady just got inked right up!




The next one was Quilled Flowers and I have never tried to do that before...I thought it was hard. It looks hard right? Well, it was super simple! I had to scan it so it looks crappy. When I get my camera I will retake the picture. But I am really pleased with it all!














Then this third one was for A Trip to the Emerald City and was all about the Wizard of Oz. Well, I have no stamps like that, but this checked ribbon has been floating around downstairs so I was so excited to use it up. So I found this image on a coloring page website. Printed it off, colored it, which is why it's smudgy. But I like it too!

I am not a perfectionist. I just have to say Good Enough, but really I am happy with them all!



OK, I was late so I need to get back down there!!

{TGIF} - It's VSN too!!

YeaY!!! It's Friday!! I am sorry for not posting much this week. I haven't been busy or anything, I guess just enjoying the Sun! It's been a beautiful week.
I also thought I had better get you guys some eye candy here since I haven't posted anything crafty lately. This is about as craty as I got this week. Just been working on other stuff.

I guess too that I don't like to scan when I could've taken a picture. But I gave mom back her camera - you're welcome! - and I shoudl get mine next week sometime. It's saying the 22nd, but I am hoping for the 21st! LOL...I'm a dreamer huh?

Anyway, I had posted that I was in a Brown and ??? swap on SCS. I'd also made up another card, but I didn't like it. So I played around and came up with this.
The set is Words by Wilson and I LOVE IT!! Anything that is funny and will make me laugh, I love!!
So I went with this one. I made the fold so it opened in the middle and flipped up, stapled the bottom and added and *Ticket* in the poket.

The dark ribbon is from my ribbon share on SCS, i know I was using it when I hadn't been able to get everyone else there's! EEK!! The polka dot is May Arts that I got at the LSS. I used Cameo Coral for the background, chocalate chip and Whisper White. I colored the boat with my watercolor pencils and blender pen and used Choc. Chip for the sentiments. Then doodled on the ticket.


Now I just need to sign them and get them in the mail.

If you are expecting things from me, I am going to the post office today to get them out to you.


I am also getting ready for VSN this weekend. This is the first time that I will actually be able to participate. We might have friends show up tonight, but I will still be checkin in there.

If you don't know, VSN is Virtual Stamp Night on SCS. Every hour they have challenges that you can do to get the creativity going. I am really looking forward to it. I think it you add them online, you can get put in a special gallery if you are one of the better cards. I really don't know the reason, but it's going to be fun.

After I upload them to the gallery there, I'll add them here too. So be on the lookout all weekend long! We are going to a BBQ tomorrow night, but otherwise no plans for our weekend. I'm excited about relaxing and creating.

What a Better way to Spend A Blustery Day

Then stamping!!

Well, my To Do list is getting shorter - for today anyway! Good thing for the rainy day we were having too. And it was an AWESOME mail day!! I joined the WISH RAK on SCS and I've been getting Wishes Granted. Yeah me!! Today was a 2 envelopes full of Loads of Love. I now know that I need to get this set.

Jenn D. sent me 12 images and I needed 10 for an ATC swap I am doing. I had other plans but I was so excited to use these images. I colored them with my watercolor markers and my new Blender Pens. {My old ones were hailed out!} Then cut them out, mounted them on the Spring DP from the Mini and then on Barely Banana paper. Used the Slot Punch and added a brad. I so love these!! Aren't they cute?

The ATC swap was on Laura Leonards blog in case you are in it too.

I am also doing a Brown and ????swap on SCS. Well, I thought that Cameo Coral would look cute!! So I stocked up on it and Chocolate Chip...then realized I only needed 6 cards! Oh well, I love the colors!!

I used Delight in Life set, stamped with Regal Red (b/c I don't have a Cameo Coral pad...oops!) then stamped the border flower with Choc. Chip. I also stamped it on Moss and cut them all out and mounted on the WW cs. Then mounted on CC cs and tied some cute ribbon on. On the background I stamped the flower and sentiment with Regal Rose again.

I am excited with both of these.



In other news, David came home sick today and has a fever. I'm just hoping that it doesn't spread as we plan to leave town this weekend. Ugh!
Mom, McKinley and I are going to a shower tonight for a friend. I've got to make an early supper for everyone. Although three of the 5 of us as asleep right now. WOW!!
