Some more baby cards.

Yep, more baby cards. I think I posted that I didn't know many babies coming, then I decided to make a lil list and I do know ALOT!!

Also, we found out my cousin and his wife had a baby a month ago. Didn't know they were expecting. Hm. I have two more cousin's expecting and 2 friends. Wow! Anyone else out there I need to know about? LOL..

So I used some WISH RAK images. I love this lil set - Bundle of Joy. Another that I love, but never bought. I did find out my friend Mary has it tho! Woo Hoo!!

I made this top card to send to my cousin. Then this bottom one is for another cousin. I told her I would make her some announcements to send out. So I was playing around and came up with this. I really like it. Simple yet cute.

And I realize now I didn't crop my pics. Oh!


We are really enjoying the summer time this week. Getting into a routine somewhat. The boys have been going to VBS in the mornings and McKinley has been taking her nap then. What joy! So I have been workin on the chores then. Then walking back to get them and the mail. It's been so nice out and I enjoy the walk, as does Mc. The boys always complain about something! LOL... Boys. Ugh.

It's only half way through TBall and I am once again regretting it all. As much as I really don't mind the whole organization process, I depsise the whole dealing with parents process.

Tonight we are going to walk over to Greg's dad's and then to my Grandpa's. They are working on the house behind my Grandpa's for my aunt to move into. You might say it was his guest house, but it you saw you would'nt. LOL...

Off to manage the maniacs!!

Weekend Highlights

Well, we had a super weekend. We drove over to Dickinson Friday. The kids were pretty good travelers. McKinley was really good about sleeping in her seat and the boys did off and on as well. I can see that a DVD player would be an advantage.

We went to a lil town and the local bar for John's 40th party. It was orginally to be a surpirse, but he found out. He was still pretty excited about it tho. It was a super late night tho, and then McKinley thought it was time to party when mom got home. Oh! I did get to sleep in Saturday morning.

Then Saturday afternoon we headed to Bismark to watch their son play baseball. We did a lil shopping there, but nothing much. Another late night as the game didn't get over until 11 and it was over an hour drive back! TWO LATE NIGHTS!!

But the time there was so fun, and it was nice to be able to hang with such cool people. We were really needing the weekend away and to just have fun. Thanks John and Beth for the hospitality!! We will see you next month!!

Sunday we started the journey home. We detoured through Sidney to see Kristin and Travis. We got there a lil late for lunch, but they were nice and waited! LOL... Poor Travis! ;) They had some fun toys for the kids and we got to check out there house and town. It was a nice break in the trip really! Mc slept to Sidney and then from their to Glasgow! What a great traveler! Now if I could've kept the boys away from each other, we would've been OK.

We also got loaded down on some fun toys that Jordie sent home for Mc to play with, and some of Conner's old playstation games. I am not sure if Beth with have enough left for her garage sale. Tee Hee Hee. But the boys have kept busy today playing with Mc's new dollhouse.

I also managed to get my house back in order. I had a lil stress from people who don't listen. I didn't get to stamp anything. (Kristin did give me some cool goodies!!) We went out to my mom and dad's to let Hunter run and the kids play. We were going to try a bike ride but we need to fix our bikes up.

Now, we are ready for some bednight snacks and PJ's. See you tomorrow.

Leaving....on a jet plane....

OK, so in a Minivan, but we are so outta here!

We are leaving tomorrow morning to head over to North Dakota to a friend's birthday party. We are taking the entire weekend and I am really looking forward to it. We are also going to stop on the way back and see Kristin and Travis, since we haven't been that way yet.

So don't plan on hearing from me until sometime Monday! Woo Hoo!!

These ATC's are ones I made for a Swap I am hosting on SCS. I also have 2 Bellas ATC's to make....sometime soon!! LOL... Then next week I'll post all of the ones that were sent in.

I think that I forgot to mention that I was going to take all those Bella cards to the Women's Resource Center here in town. Wouldn't they be fun to send out?

A lil funny....at the Races Sunday, the Shiners were racing their lawnmowers and then they did a little parade around the track. Well I told David that one of them was his friends Dad. He said, Oh I know... the guys in the Monkey hats. Oh Greg and I were rolling on the floor. He thought they looked like the hats that lil monkeys wear!! It was funny!

(It's a Beautiful Day for Stamping}

I say BEAUTIFUL, because it looks like this out! Cool and rainy. And you know I am still not tired of it.
ETA- I haven't been stamping...I need to clean my room first, but it is a nice day for stamping, right?

We had a nice weekend to play outside but I really like days like today esp. since I have things to do inside.

Also, I didn't make it on here yesterday. TBall started and yes, I can't say No and still am in charge. And really I don't mind doing it all. It's just sometimes I wonder why other people don't think ahead. They wait til the last minute and think I am just waiting around for them! And also when people call about Rain Outs. That bugs me. I think, if you don't want to play, don't come...it's so simple. If you think it's too rainy, then stay home. DUH.

Ok, so enough ranting.

I'm working on those Bella cards to get them on her later today. Or sometime. I'll get them on. You know I will.

{Monday Monday}

Ugh it's Monday alright. I'm really not a fan, especially after running in and out of the house all weekend. I feel like it's all ganging up on me!

It was very warm here today and David thought the pool was supposed to open today. Turns out MAYBE next Monday. So after I ran to store, and we walked to the mail, I decided to buy a small pool. That way McKinley has a place to be cool when the boys are at the big pool. It was a HUGE HIT! Even to her, she was crawling around in it with her bikini on! LOL.. I'll post the pics later on.

There was also just a lot of other stuff to get caught up on today too.

As for crafty things, man, I have a long list of cards I need and soon too. I started to clean my room up and I need to get back down there and finish.

Tomorrow starts TBall for us...so I have a lot to prepare for that, other things to get taken care of before end of day. So no creating for me!!

I do have the Bella Cards I got from a Swap, so I'll post them tomorrow for you all!! Just bear with me!

Our Weekend....

It's been a great and fun weekend for us. We live in such a small town that when things happen you really have to go out and enjoy them fully! Otherwise you lose out.




This weekend was Dino Daze, a car show and a Drag Race!! Wow!! Busy. Our area has become more popular lately with the Dinosaurs that have been found around here. We have our own Field Station where they work on them and the Discovery Channel has even been here working on a show for it all. Kind of neat for lil ole Malta really. Our weekend kicked off Friday night. Greg was part of a Leadership Committee that learned more about our county. So Friday they **Graduated** from this lil program. They held the graduation at the Wine and Dino. Something we have never went to before, but we figured we would go this time. They had a lot of fun food (i.e. Dino Dung) and wine and some Old Bone Ale(a MT microbrew) I had a little too much of all of it really! LOL...I figured I would try the wine since we never really have it much (Ok, so Boone's Farm out of the bottle doesn't really count!! LOL) We also figured that we would eat and run, however there was a group of 5 of us that were the last to leave. I mean, we were booted out! It was so much fun tho...my cheeks hurt from laughing! I think we all plan to do it again next year!



Yesterday we were a bit more mild. After all the rain it was a beautfiul day. We strolled downtown to the Car Show...they had so many souped up cars and a lot more racers this year. Even some bikes and tractors as well. Plus they have the dig pit for the kids and a bouncy house, and all kinds of vendors. It was a fun day. We then had Greg's niece and her family over for a BBQ. Nothing fancy, just last minute decided to feed everyone. We always have a good visit, but we didn't pat close enough attention to the kids I guess...when we went out the boys were riding through the mud but RC ended up laying in it!! Ugh. Oh well...they were enjoying themselves!!

Today we headed over to the new Drag Strip and watched the races. It was an Open thing so you could race whoever in whatever kind of car you wanted. So there were racers, AMX cars, family suburbans, lawnmowers, new pickups, you name it. It was so hot, but it really was a great time. I got a lil pink, as did everyone else, but I can start summer with a tan!!

Well, I don't think that I showed off my new set from Papertrey Ink yet, did I? This was one of the first cards I made from there. I was trying to remember a technique Nichole did on her blog and I did it wrong. I did it right for my stamp club cards so I'll show you that later on.

I really like the 2 step stamping that you have to do with these sets. It's so fun! I need to get more creative with this set tho...I haven't even touched the lil bugs.

We are smack in the middle of a wild weekend...enjoying it totally! It's been raining here all week...I mean, for 5 full days! Lovely! Today however it's not raining and it's HOT!!! Perfect conditions for a TStorm! (Yeah I love them!!)

{a bit about me}

1. What did you this year that you’d never done before? Flew on a plane!
2. Did anyone close to you give birth? Besides me? Well, a couple friends did, and a few cousins as well!
3. Did anyone close to you die? Yes, unfortunatly
4. What countries did you visit? Just the good ole USA
5. What is your biggest struggle within scrapbooking? Getting pictures developed to scrap!!
6. What dates from this year so far will remain etched upon your memory, and why? Valentines Day, b/c my cousin and best friend died, maybe the good things like all McKinley is accomplishing and David looseing teeth.
7. What is your biggest achievement this year so far? Really just being able to survive it all. I wish that I had bigger acheivements but so far I am just proud of what my family and I have been able to do.
8. What is your biggest failure? Maybe that I worry about it all too much and don't take enough time to just enjoy it.
9. Do you suffer illness or injury? Remarkably NO! :)
10. What was the best thing you bought so far this year? Um, I think my new camera....that is about the biggest purchase we have made!
11. Whose behavior merited celebration? CELEBRATION - Hm? Maybe the way that my DH handles his life...esp. the last few days. That merits celebration!!
12. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed? Well, in general, there is a lot of people out in soceity that make me sick, but in the last few days here on the homefront, there is more and more that have made me feel ill.
13. Where does most of your money go?The grocery store!!
14. What do you get really, really, really excited about? You know I really get excited about a lot...when I get new ideas for crafting, when I get new crafting stuff...lol, when we get to see and spend time with fun people.
15. What song will you always remember? Well, Brandi reminded me of The Battle of New Orleans and I downloaded it on my iPOd. LOL...I'm teaching it to the boys!
16. Compared to this time last year, are you:a) happier or sadder? b) thinner or fatter? c) richer or poorer? happier, fatter, richer(familywise)/poorer(moneywise). And I'm OK with all that! LOL...
17. What do you wish you’d done more of? Schooling

19. How will you be spending Summer? Sitting on the patio watching the kids in the pool, relaxing with family

24. What is the best book you read? Um, I'm gonna stick with the Bible. THere is a lot of interesting stuff in there.
25. What has been your greatest musical discovery? Besides George Strait? Just joking...I guess knowing that when I sing I am not making others deaf! LOL...
26. What are your scrapbooking goals? Mainly, I would like to stay caught up. I would like to be able to keep up to date and make sure they all the important things are noted. I wouldn't mind getting some of my pages published, but as long as my kids leave home with their pallet load of scrapbooks, I'll be OK.
27. What is something that leaves you scratching your head within scrapbooking? Why people will go back and REDO pages they did 10 years ago b/c their style has changed. What in the World are you thinking!!!!
28. What is your favorite film so far this year? Ugh, I am always so behind. We just watched the Pursuit of Happiness and I truly liked that one.
29. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? I turned 27, and we, um, hum.....I think we just had family over for dinner.
30. What is your favorite all time embellishment? Ribbon.
31. How would you describe your personal fashion concepts? Well, I am a total cheap-o when it comes to shopping for clothes. The stores here are such a rip off and so I usually shop at WalMart or ShopKo, although now that there is a Ross in GF I plan to shop there. I like jeans, I love Aura jeans, and a comfy top. I always said I would never leave my house in sweats...and I never do!! Although I don't like to be gussied up....comfy...thats me!!
32. What keeps you sane? God.
33. Which celebrity/public figure do you fancy the most? Didn't I already mention George? It's no secret I fancy Vin Diesel either. And Josh Gracin. Those three are about it.
34. What political issue stirred you the most? Besides the war, maybe the whole stupid idea of no child left behind. That is dumb!
35. Who did you miss? The family who has passed and those who aren't near us anymore.
36. Who is the best new person you met? Hmmm..that's a toughie. I met a gal from Havre on SCS and she invited me to her stamp club. That's about as new as it gets. I've met alot of cool people online. But it's hard to meet new poeple here! LOL...
37. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned. Stop reaching so far ahead. Live your life in the here and now...make the most of it, b/c it may all be over tomorrow.

If you can be yourself around your friends, then why are you trying so hard to be friends with them? You really should try harder to be kind to those who really matter and will always be there for you.

If not, I did find this great company - Hambo Stamps. They have Fractured Funnies! I need to get me a few of those stamps...then the party will begin!

I made these for a friend. I am hoping to share more tomorrow and deliver them then as well.

I think I make my best cards with the scraps I have on the end of my table!! I had actually stamped these images a long time ago and had them in the case that the stamps were in. So anyway, I colored them with my Watercolor Pencils and Blender Pens.

OK, if you don't know Heidi Swapp is a SuperStar of Scrapbooking Embellisments. OK, so that is what I would say anyway. LOL... The things she has in her line are so me and my way of scrapping! I love it.

And of course, I am a regular reader of her blog. It makes me happy that she is so down to earth, really. A real person, with real kids and a real life. So it makes me want to follow her line even more. Plus she is so super busy...with 4 kids, one the same age as McKinley and then she's expecting again! HOLY SMOLY!!

We are off to take my FIL to his house and move him in. I think we are doing OK, but he is ready. He was arguing with Greg that is wasn't Thursday it was Friday today! WTH!! He wanted it to be moving day, so Dave got it ready for him today.

I also got to finish my cards for stamp club today and made a few others. I have a SWEET lady that I plan to give a bunch of them too!!

{No Creations Wednesday}

No creations today. I was down in my stamp room yesterday for a short time, and started on my cards for stamp club. I wish I could be down there now. It's so chilly and drizzily.

I am going to stuff Super Shoppers (a weekly flyer here). I am really looking forward to it today. All I am going to say and that things are stressful here at the Skiff house. I'm praying that by the weekend they will be back to normal. Then I can escape to my room! LOL...

In addition to using up paper that I leave on my table I also use the stamp sets I had there.

I had the curvy verses set out for the Baby card. I thought this sentiment with my It's a Date Set, would look fun.

And then I found these fun flowers I didn't know I had.

{baby cards}

I am not sure why I am making Baby Cards, I only know a couple babies coming this summer, but it seems that I have a big stash of them.

This first one I made with the Jumbo Stampin Around Wheel. I had my eye on this one for a long time!! And I am glda I got it, it's fun to color!! LOL...

I simply rolled it out, colored, added some cardstock to the background and put it on some Apricot Appeal CS.

I am finding that I tend to leave papers on the side of my table so I keep using the same ones over and over. Oh well...

Here is another one. I started here with the saying...then looked up and saw these heart stamps sitting there. The DP is from SU! Love Me pack from the Winter Mini. Then I stamped the sentiment, matted it and added some ribbon.


Our day was pretty laid back for the most part. Greg's dad came in and there have been some things that weren't working out, but they are now. He's been fed and sent to bed...lol!!

Back to the daily grind tomorrow. Try to establish a summer routine with the boys. I have some errands to take care of and laundry to finish too. Hope your weekend went well.

ETA - my cousin and his wife just had a baby...DUH KATIE!! So one of these is going postal to them!

{HOWDY}

Good evening...

Using up more WISH RAK images, these ones from the Cowboy Kid set. I am so bummed that I never got this set myself. I know one of my friends from Stamp Club has it so I could borrow it from her if I really wanted to. But I still WISHed for it.

I mounted this lil guy on Apricot Appeal, then grabbed a scrap of DP from the Crate cowboy collection. Added ribbon with Hodgepodge Hardware to look western like! LOL...

We went out to my aunts tonight for dinner. My cousin and his wife and three boys were there. Her brother (who lives her and I am good friends with his wife) were there too...they have two boys and a baby girl. Plus our three. There were 9 kids there under 7! LOL..talk about a mad house! Then another cousin came with her two (under 7 as well!) But the night was beautiful, we enjoyed the time outside with everyone. Some skeet shooting, then a campfire for S'Mores. I have an adorable pictures of the three babies in their diapers. I'll post it tomorrow!

Greg's dad will be here tomorrow. He is moving here...he isn't doing so well and he needs to be up here with family instead of alone in Reno. So Greg's brother went to get him and since the house he's moving into isn't quite ready, he is going to stay with us. We have an extra room downstairs for him. I know things will be OK, it's just going to be a shock on him to go from being alone to having three kids. Hopefully it won't be more than a week.

We're back from the wedding and shingding. We are so party poopers!!

The ceremony was wonderful - like I had a doubt. The supper was great and then after everyone headed inside we came home. It's really too smoky in the bar for the kids anyway. And my cousin's son Ty wanted to come chill here anyway!

This is the card I made for the Bride and Groom. Their last name is Kluck, so I thought I would be funny. I really hope no one gets offended! LOL...

I made this one and am sending it to my brother and his wife. She likes Chickens. Or at least that is what he told me once...Sorry Lindsey! LOL...


Going to wait for Brandi to come get Ty and then off to bed. McKinley is the only one who is sleeping so no early night for us!

{genie bags}

This morning while I was browsing through the blogs, I came across this tutorial for these Genie Bags.
Jen was the gal who first put them on SCS so everyone started to call them Genie bags, b/c of her log in name.

So I wanted to try it. This is what I came up with. The only bags I have are brown lunch sacks, so I went with a brown theme, using Chocolate Chip CS and then some some of the DP from the Winter Mini. Then I stamped the big blossom, and kissed it although it didn't totally turn out perfect.

I am going to fill it with cards and give it to a SWEET lady. I hope that she enjoys it and the cards.

Today is just gorgeous out. I looked out and thought about going out to work in the yard, but I really don't want to get all sweaty before the wedding. So I got crafty!

McKinley and RC are napping, Greg went out to golf with friends, and David has been chilling too. Now I think I'll sit on the patio and watch him ride his bike!
